As a partner at FinMetrics, Hugues Pirotte accompanies clients (private banking, multinational corporate treasuries, funds) in the evolution of their risk governance alongside with a dashboard implementation in many cases.
At Solvay Busines School, he is teaching the courses of Corporate Valuation and Financing, Derivatives and Risk Management, and he is the Director of the Executive Master in Management.
He is further member of the BEL20 committee and co-founder and manager of the Finance Club of Brussels.
Hugues has been lecturing and researching finance since 1998. He currently teaches the courses of corporate valuation and financing, derivatives and risk management and is the director of the Executive Master in Management.
Together with other colleagues of HEC Lausanne, he founded FinMetrics in 1998 and has been working for this company ever since. FinMetrics has clients in Switzerland, in the Benelux region, as well as in the UK. They are regularly advisors to Courts of Justice or referred as experts in cases such as litigation on financial products and risk management (Federal Court of Justice (CH), recent Belgian banking case against Hedge Funds, etc.) , or for international cases (ICSD, etc.).
Hugues is further co-author of one of the main references in credit risk: Advanced Credit Risk Analysis: Financial Approaches and Mathematical Models to Assess, Price and Manage Credit Risk (Wiley, UK).
He also has research publications in the areas of liquidity risk, market and credit risks, hedge fund performance and strategic wealth management.
