Press release: Deloitte Luxembourg raises €33,000 for the Red CrossDOWNLOAD |
Following the violent earthquake in Haiti which took place in January 2010, a donation collection was started in Deloitte Luxembourg. This initiative rapidly wielded €33,000 with the collaboration and cooperation of Deloitte employees and the Luxembourg Red Cross.
A cheque was officially handed over to Jacques Hansen, Director of the Luxembourg Red Cross by Yves Francis, Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg. The collected amount helped supply 660 emergency shelters to temporarily house people whose homes were destroyed during the earthquake.
In the following few weeks, volunteers from Deloitte Luxembourg will further be helping the Luxembourg Red Cross in their spare time with the ‘Quinzaine du don’ initiative.
