Corporate social responsibility

The human dimension - the heart of our approach

The human dimension is at the heart of our approach as it conditions the way we are structured… because we want to be close to the companies we serve. We know that success is a lot more than just numbers - it’s about supporting our people and our community.

A single person can make a big difference,
Imagine what 1,100 can achieve!

In Deloitte, we support the actions of the Luxembourg Red Cross in different ways to show our commitment to each other:

  • Every year, Deloitte helps the Luxembourg Red Cross organise a classical concert. The benefits are donated, as in previous years, to the Luxembourg Red Cross.
  • Also every year, we organise our  "Klenge Maart" where everybody in the firm is able to buy products from humanitarian associations, including Christmas Cards and watches from the Luxembourg Red Cross to raise money.
  • We regularly organise a second-hand clothing collection within the firm. The clothes are distributed by the Luxembourg Red Cross channels.

We understand the benefits of volunteer work, and with 1,100 people, a great deal can be done.

Recognition

CSR accreditation / label Entreprise socialement responsable

Deloitte Luxembourg has recently received the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) accreditation from the INDR (Institut National pour le Développement Durable et la Résponsabilité Sociale des Entreprises).

The INDR, presided by Michel Wurth, president of the UEL (Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeois), helps companies to integrate their economic, social, societal and environmental objectives to create a socially responsible work environment. It is one of the rare recognitions in the world which provides a global accreditation to organisations on CSR.

In order to receive the INDR accreditation, organisations need to submit a candidature to INDR Certified Experts, presenting their CSR projects and fulfill the three main criteria of the INDR:

  • Social and professional chance equity, focusing on improving the health and work environment security, work/life balance, etc.
  • Governance, which is focused on aspects such as the transparency within the organisation
  • Environment, targeting the recycling possibilities of the firm, the reduction of energy consumption, renewable energies, etc.

Deloitte has created a socially responsible work environment, committed to generating a healthy work/life balanced structure within the firm through our numerous projects, e.g. the Eco-tips, distributed throughout the building and the health days, organised to improve your health and well-being at the workplace.
