MENA Private Equity Confidence Survey

Shaping up for 2010

MENA Private equityProviding a barometer of market sentiment amongst GPs focused upon investing in the MENA region, the findings of our latest MENA Private Equity Confidence Survey highlight the somewhat cautious approach being adopted industry-wide, against the backdrop of the economic downturn.

There are a number of positives to be drawn from the report findings, not least the expectation that investment activity levels will increase, on the back of lower valuations, a rising number of distressed opportunities, and the long hoped for improvement in economic conditions.

However, a degree of uncertainty still prevails amongst those GPs surveyed, with the expectation that the market will adapt to a slower, yet more sustainable rate of growth.
