17 December 2011 – Deloitte Middle East has been recognized for Excellence in Training & Development in the first ever ICAEW Middle East Accountancy and Finance Excellence Awards. The announcement was made in a landmark ceremony at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai, UAE on December 14. Winners of the ICAEW awards were selected by a judging team of 16 recognized and respected industry experts from accounting, finance and business.

The ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) is a professional membership organization, supporting over 136,000 chartered accountants around the world. The ceremony, organized by ICAEW and sponsored by Emirates NBD, was attended by over 350 finance professionals from across the region. His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended as guest of honor.
