It is a great New Year tradition of Tashkent office to conduct an annual charity event. As in previous years we focus on bringing happiness and smiles to children with different deceases. This year we went to Republican Hospital for kids with bone-tuberculosis. The medical institution treats the deceases that temporarily limits mobility of kids.
The event involved singing songs together, citing poems, and sharing gifts. For an hour or so that we have been there, we have been able to bring some joy in life of thirty five kids that are currently undergoing treatment. Medical staff (including Chief Doctor) and kids were very happy with the event.
This event was publicized by newspaper "Business Overview of East". We hope that outstanding commitment of Deloitte to giving back to society and responsible corporate citizenship will serve as an example to other professional organizations.
Many staff members both from Tashkent office and Almaty office participate in such events every year. The participation includes personal contributions, attending the charity event, and even acting as Ded Moroz (i.e. Santa Clause). Every contribution of money and time makes those charity events even more well-organized and successful.
We brought some happy moments in life of children that are undergoing the treatment and temporarily have to stay apart from their family. Those children will remember and treasure those moments. And we are believe that everyone who have contributed to the event will feel the joy of a good deed as well.
The New Year party is one of the most long-expected events. It is the time when each of us starts believing in fairytales and awaits a miracle. Deloitte & Touche employees held a charitable act for little patients of the City’s Oncologic Dispensary, and with the help of Ded Moroz, Snegurochka and Captain Hook made it a real festival for them.
The a special article “Спешите делать добро” (“Hurry to do good”) was published in the local newspaper “Бизнес Вестник Востока (Business Overview of East)”, and also a video footage translated on the national TV “NTT” in the program “Business report” (07/01/2013-20:50 and 08/01/2013-7:50).
