“Hurry to do good”

A Charity Event in Tashkent 2012

The New Year party is one of the most long-expected events. It is the time when each of us starts believing in fairytales and awaits a miracle. Deloitte & Touche employees held a charitable act for little patients of the City’s Oncologic Dispensary, and with the help of Ded Moroz, Snegurochka and Captain Hook made it a real festival for them.

The a special article “Спешите делать добро” (“Hurry to do good”) was published in the local newspaper “Бизнес Вестник Востока (Business Overview of East)”, and also a video footage translated on the national TV “NTT” in the program “Business report” (07/01/2013-20:50 and 08/01/2013-7:50).

International Equestrian Competitions. Central Asia Cup 

Almaty and Astana 2012

We are pleased to announce that for the second year in succession Deloitte has been one of the sponsors of the Equestrian Federation’s Central Asian equestrian competition.

On 3-5 July, as part of a number of international equestrian events traditionally held on the eve of Astana City Day, the Kazanat hippodrome played host to three equestrian disciplines.

On 4 July, Kazakhstan President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in his speech, officially opened the World Cup and President’s Cup show jumping events, which involved competitors from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

Five international teams took part in the Cup of Nations and ENRC Cup. The Kazakhstan team of Petr Solovyev on Luzi, Oleg Popelyev on Lord, Alexandr Tishkov on Quatro and Aset Tolkumbekov on Ovivan won the event with 25 penalty points. Second place was awarded to the team from Uzbekistan with 29 points, while the team from Kyrgyzstan ended up third with 36 points. The individual Grand Prize went to the rider from Uzbekistan, Gairat Nazarov on Quatro Junior.

Kazakhstan riders also took the prizes in the smaller second round of individual competitions. Aleksandr Tishkov won the Santo Cup on Aman, with Medet Mauletbekov on Perkhan in second. Ruslan Islamov won the Eurasian Bank Cup on Toast, also taking second place in the Deloitte Cup. The winner of the Deloitte Cup was Aleksandr Tishkov on Aman, while Valerii Starodubov came in third on Gondez.

The event, which took place in Astana, was seen by many people in an atmosphere of celebration.
