Sharing with the neighbors and fulfilling a societal role

One of Deloitte's important roles is to share the company's wellbeing with the rest of the society; its mission is to fulfill not only its own dreams, but also the dreams of the neighbors who are less privileged to do so on their own.

Therefore, on a Global dimension, Deloitte established an 'Impact Day' in June so that each corporation in member countries could perform a variety of volunteer activities every year. Deloitte in Korea had also developed various volunteer opportunities besides Impact Day.

Every year, Deloitte promulgates volunteer events sponsored by funds collected from the staff and contributed by the corporation. Some of these activities include helping hungry children and lonely seniors in 'Fun House'--a joint home for the disabled and the seniors in Incheon--opening sports festivals for the disabled, and going to the beach with the less fortunate.

Deloitte also contributed five gearing wheelchairs on the Day of the Disabled in 2006 and held a youth marathon event for hungry children. Since 1997, the corporation had performed as an active member of the Volunteer Committee and fulfilled its societal role to deliver love and wellbeing to its neighbors.

Activities in 2008

	'3rd Best Body & Mind Youth Marathon' for Helping the Hungry Children Time/Place: April 25 / Peace Square of World Cup Park, Sang Ahm Deloitte staffs spent an exciting time with more than 2,500 children at the Marathon

	Contributes Home Appliances to the 'Fun House' for the disable people Time/Place: February 19 (Tuesday)/ 'Fun House' in Kyeyang, Incheon Deloitte replaced old appliances with new ones at the house, which helpless lonely seniors and disabled people.

	'After-school Academy' Volunteering as advisers Time/Place: January 26 / Snow-sledding Hill at Children's Grand Park ERS team volunteered in the Saturday Adventure Program as advisers for the After-school Academy.

	Volunteering at the Oil Spill Sight in Tae-ahn Sea Time/Place: January 20 (Sunday) / Euihang-ri Sowon-myun Taean-gun Deloitte members volunteered to help clean up the oil spill that tragically plagued Tae-ahn Sea from an accident of unknown origin.

	Daegu branch offers scholarship to Middle School Time/Place: January 14 / Daegu Kyungmyeong Woman's Middle School The Daegu branch offered scholarship for 10 girls in Kyungmyeong Women's Middle school to their lunch money.

Activities in 2007

	Donate instruments to Pusan's 'Boys' String and Wind Orchestra' Time/Place: December/ Pusan 'Boys' String and Wind Orchestra' Deloitte donate instruments to share love and pleasure and the orchestra continues to deliver happiness.

	'Love is sharing' activities by each division Time/Place: December- January/ Throughout the country 12 divisions of Deloitte is on the run to share love with society.

	Volunteering at Fall Sports Fair for disabled families Time/Place: October 16 (Saturday)/Bucheon Stadium 27 Deloitte members participated as volunteers in the 2007 Fourth Annual Sports Fair for Disabled Families at the Bucheon Stadium.

	A Journey to the Beach with Disabled Families Time/Place: August 23 (Thu)~25 (Sat)/Seoul->Sokcho->Yongin During two nighs and three days, 11 Deloitte staffs volunteered in an event that involved traveling Seorak Mountain, Naksan beach.

	Youth Marathon for Hungry Children Time/Place: April 20 (Friday)/Yoido Han River Citizen Park Field Running 1 km near Han River and delivering the Money-Box of Love.
