Deloitte India Indirect tax Burning Issues Survey 2012

The current economic conditions pose significant challenges for trade and industry and the changing tax laws accompanied by increased surveillance by the Revenue authorities seem to have exacerbated the situation further. In order to gauge the views of a cross section of trade and industry, Deloitte India recently conducted a survey to ascertain the views of key finance and tax personnel on a range of issues.

The survey was conducted live amongst the participants of the 2012 edition of Indirect Tax Symposium organized by Achromic Point, an event which was held in three cities, namely, Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore over a period of one week during November/December 2012. Majority of the respondents of the survey comprised of professionals handling finance, accounts and tax matters across a cross section of trade and industry.
