For the vast majority of imported products the amount of customs duty payable is directly related to the value declared for customs purposes in Israel.
We assist our clients to take best advantage of opportunities allowed by the legislation to minimize the customs values of imported goods.
At the same time, we are able to assist clients to ensure they comply fully with the customs valuation regulations by such methods as the following:
- Consideration of the customs implications of transfer pricing arrangements between related parties.
- Review the dutiable status of payments such as royalties and license fees, R&D contributions, commissions and tooling costs.
- Provide advice and assistance to clients in respect of valuation audits undertaken by Customs VAT authorities, including performing our own pre-audit "audit".
As the state of Israel has signed free-trade agreements (FTA) with the U.S, E.U countries, E.F.T.A countries and other countries, we assist businesses to benefit from the beneficial rates accomplished.
