Deloitte's Workforce Transition Services Survey was conducted in quarter 4, 2009. Over 180 HR or Finance Managers/Directors were surveyed across a wide range of industries, from financial services to media and
communications, consumer business and construction. The survey aimed to get a snapshot view of how organisations are being impacted by the current economic climate, how they are responding to it and what their future plans are. It is not surprising that many organisations have had to restructure and reshape their
workforce.
Deloitte Ireland director Mark O'Donnell adds: "Overall, I am encouraged with the survey results, which show that although workforce transition has been a prominent consideration for organisations over the past 12 months, the outlook for 2010 is more positive. The situation has certainly been difficult during these turbulent times and some organisations may still have tough decisions to make, the outlook for the future does look brighter.
