Abstract
Establishment, management and ongoing support of a confidential ‘black box’ solution.
Challenge
The client had an urgent need for the establishment and management of a confidential system for determining the financial responsibilities of certain waste producers in Ireland.
The client was precluded by law from seeing the underlying commercial data.
Approach
We undertook the design, development and operation of the solution and continue to provide full helpdesk and application support services to the entire business user base.
Solution
The technology solution is a web based application built using Microsoft technologies (.NET and SQL Server). This is a fully hosted solution by Deloitte, where we also provide Level 1 to Level 3 support. The application generates an invoice based upon data provided, which is sent to the waste producer. The solution assists our client in:
- Providing a simple but secure web based solution to facilitate waste producer registration and data submission
- Managing and processing of confidential market data submitted by waste producers
- Verification of fee structures established by producers
- Providing management information and summary reports
- Refining associated business processes
- Maintaining the highest levels of confidentially and security with all operations
- Issuing automated reminders for non-submitted data
- Notifying individual producers of the amounts owed
