Deloitte strengthens Executive Selection team |
Deloitte, the leading business advisory firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Fiona O’Connor to its Consulting department, where she will manage the Executive Selection team.
In this role, Fiona will be working closely with the firm’s clients to ensure their executive recruitment needs are met. Fiona will focus on the recruitment of non-executive directors and senior executive positions including those of CEO, CFO, HR Director and Marketing Directors, amongst others.
Fiona brings over twenty years experience with her to the role, both in Ireland and internationally. She began her career with Hayes Plc in the UK, managing the Bath and Bristol offices. Here she specialised in the recruitment of senior accountants. Fiona has also worked in Singapore, where she was involved in the start up of McKenna James Ltd, which specialised in search assignments at a senior level in the banking, pharmaceuticals, and technology, media and telecommunications industries. Here in Ireland, she has worked with Penna Consulting for two years, and prior to joining Deloitte she worked for three years with Boardmatch Ireland, where she worked with senior executives in both multinational and Irish indigenous companies in order to place them on the boards of charities.
Commenting on Fiona’s appointment, Mark O’Donnell, Director, Human Capital Services, Deloitte said: “We are delighted to welcome Fiona to the team. Despite the impact of the economic crisis on the labour market, many organisations here are still finding it difficult to match the correct talent with the distinct needs of their organisation. Fiona will be instrumental in ensuring that we are able to meet our clients’ needs in this regard. Her experience both internationally and here in Ireland are a great addition to our team.”
Fiona, who is a board member of the A – Z Children’s Charity, holds a B.A. in Economics and Politics from University College Galway, a Higher Diploma in Marketing from Letterkenny, and is a Batalas Qualified Auditor.
