  • Extensive refurbishment of Deloitte offices now complete

The Minister for Finance, Mr Michael Noonan T.D., today welcomed the partners and staff of Deloitte Limerick ‘home’ to their offices on Charlotte Quay.

The business advisory firm recently completed extensive renovations to its office, while also taking additional space in the Charlotte Quay office. During the refurbishment project, Deloitte temporarily relocated to alternative accommodation for a number of months.

The Charlotte Quay premises has been transformed into an ultra-modern office space incorporating latest designs in office interiors and a complete upgrade to the core mechanical and electrical systems. A dedicated, client conference suite is situated on the ground floor.  The project commenced in late 2011 and on completion of a detailed design phase building works commenced in June 2012. As part of the project, all aspects of the technology infrastructure, including network and telephony systems, were completely upgraded.

Ger Lyons, Regional Partner in Charge, Deloitte commented: “We are very pleased to be back ‘home’ on Charlotte Quay and are delighted with the look and feel of the office now. The firm is very proud of its presence in Limerick and this investment in our office space signals our strong commitment to the city and our client base here.”

Opening the newly refurbished offices, Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, T.D. said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Deloitte partners and staff back to their fantastic new offices here in the heart of Limerick city. Deloitte has a long standing presence in Limerick city and this investment in their Limerick offices is a very important commitment to the city. I am sure that the commitment by a company of the stature of Deloitte will encourage other companies to invest in Limerick. It is no surprise to me looking around the office today that Deloitte has been consistently ranked as one of the best workplaces in Ireland and I wish all every success for the future.”

Deloitte in Limerick employs 80 people and has had a presence in the city for approximately 50 years. The firm recently announced that they would be recruiting for a number of graduate positions in its regional practice. In total 30 graduate positions, across all departments of the firm including audit, tax, consulting, corporate finance and enterprise risk services, are available in the Cork and Limerick offices.

“The technology and operations team in Deloitte worked closely with local design, consulting and contracting teams on this significant refurbishment and we sincerely thank everyone involved for their dedication to the project. Our premises are a great reflection on the combined capability of all those involved in the project, and clearly demonstrate their commitment to excellence. We will continue to work with the business community from our ‘new’ offices to ensure that Limerick as a location for doing business goes from strength to strength,” concluded Lyons.
