In our monthly Statistics Bulletin you will find a snapshot of key trends in the Irish funds industry, compiled using the latest data from the Central Bank of Ireland up to February 2013.
The initial months of 2013 have seen continued inflows to equity and bond funds on the back of strong performance data from 2012. Equity and bond funds yielded net performance of 14.2% and 7.6% respectively in 2012, based on analysis of data from the Central Bank of Ireland. Money market funds have experienced net outflows for the year to date indicating a reallocation of assets from money market funds to other higher yielding asset classes.
This reallocation, coupled with strong performance has resulted in the assets of Irish domiciled equity UCITS exceeding those of money market fund UCITS for the first time, according to the latest statistical data from the Central Bank of Ireland (February 2013).
