Compliance & Regulation

Risk management, compliance, good governance, secure systems and controls are all key phrases in Financial Services at the present time. The Central Bank's changing focus, compounded by the economic downturn, is forcing firms to act upon these phrases. During 2011, the Corporate Governance Code and Fitness and Probity Standards, as published by the Central Bank of Ireland came into effect.

These developments have had a significant impact as firms adjust to the reformed regulatory landscape.

Firms must ensure their compliance function has the depth of expertise required to manage all regulatory requirements within the business.

Those that can demonstrate good governance and high standards of compliance are reaping the rewards.
