Deloitte wins ‘Public Sector IT Project of the Year’ at ICT Excellence Awards |
Deloitte Ireland has won the Public Sector IT Project of the Year award at the 2010 ICT Excellence Awards. Deloitte received the accolade for the work they carried out for the Arts Council in establishing its online customer services facility.
Deloitte were engaged to support the Arts Council in becoming a more customer focussed organisation through the use of an online customer service facility. The solution the Deloitte team provided involved building an online services website that would allow the organisation to manage client details, applications for funding including supporting materials such as images, audio and video, payment requests, status reporting, and assessment of funding applications. The system was also required to have the ability to manage new and existing clients and manage their online security credentials. The Deloitte team fulfilled these objectives, while also ensuring the solution delivered supported the Arts Council’s efficiency agenda. The take up of the solution has been fantastic with well over 90% of the Arts Council’s customers using the solution. Applications have been received from Irish artists around the world on a 24/7 basis, with one application so far having been submitted by iPhone.
Commenting on the win, Harry Goddard, Partner, Consulting, Deloitte, said: “We are delighted to be recognised at the awards for our work with the Arts Council. This was a comprehensive project that had a number of requirements. Not only was there a business imperative for this project as the Arts Council wanted to improve its customer service functionality – but there was also a fiscal imperative to make the operation more efficient and deliver significant cost savings. The team took both of these factors into consideration when designing the solution and delivered on both these objectives. This is a fantastic accolade to receive as recognition for our work!”
The 2010 ICT Excellence Awards were presented at an industry gala dinner in the D4 Berkeley Hotel, Dublin, on May 20th. Now in its tenth year, this prestigious awards programme represents the most respected business accolade in the technology industry.
