Deloitte’s policy is to reduce the impact of the firm’s operations on the environment, through its Green Agenda initiative. The goal is to promote sustainability and environmental awareness at all levels of the firm by:.jpg)
- Complying with all applicable environmental legislation and other relevant sustainability commitments
- Measuring the carbon footprint of business activities, and reducing consumption of resources
- Implementing waste management strategies that promote waste minimisation, re-use, recovery and recycling where appropriate
- Incorporating energy efficiency measures into the firm’s facilities and promoting efficient energy use in all areas of business activity
- Continuing to invest in and promote alternatives to business travel
- Factoring energy efficiency into new services, facilities and equipment
- Working with suppliers to adopt a purchasing programme that takes into account the environmental impact of products and services in key areas of concern
- Ensuring the firm’s people are aware of the environmental impacts of their work activities, minimising the risk of pollution and encouraging them through regular awareness raising and training to minimise those impacts
- Pursuing a programme of continuous improvement by reviewing our Environmental Management System and related objectives and targets, policies and practices
- Using an accredited programme to the extent considered appropriate, to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities
