The International Tax Review, prestigious taxation magazine, named Deloitte Zrt. Tax Firm of the Year in Hungary 2011; and awarded its parent company, Deloitte Central Europe, Tax Firm of the Year of the region.
The announcement of the winners was made as part of the publication’s annual European Tax Awards, which were presented at a dinner in London that was attended by 240 tax executives, advisers and lawyers.
Deloitte member firms (Deloitte) received 12 awards the most awards of any of this year’s nominated organizations.
Deloitte practices in Central Europe (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, and Slovak Republic), Hungary, Malta, Norway, and Ukraine received Tax Firm of the Year awards. Additionally, Deloitte practices in Belgium, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, and Turkey received Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year awards.

Leading tax and legal firms from 26 jurisdictions across Europe were nominated for the awards. To decide the winners, ITR considered submissions made by the participating firms and ITR’s team of journalists undertook detailed research from a variety of sources, including a poll of international tax executives. Awards were given for work performed between 1 March 2010 and 31 December 2010.
