Tariff Suspensions expiring per December 31, 2012

DOWNLOAD

In the European Union goods imported from third countries are subject to customs duties. However, for certain raw materials, semi-finished goods or components that are not available or produced in the European Union, it is possible to request a tariff suspension. With a tariff suspension the regular duty rate could become lower or even a 0% duty rate. Tariff suspensions aim to stimulate the economy, the competitiveness of European producers and the European employment.
