Duty suspensions on certain types of monitors reinstated.

DOWNLOAD

With Council regulation 555/2011 the European Commission reinstates the possibility for duty suspension on certain black and white or monochrome, and certain color monitors using liquid crystal display technology. Since this suspension was removed from the Tariff with a Combined Nomenclature change at the beginning of this year, the suspension should have been available as of 1 January 2011.  Importers of these products in the EU can ask for duty refunds when they imported these products against a duty rate of 14% between 1 January 2011 and the date of publication of Council Regulation 555/2011.
