Deloitte Netherlands Tax Leader Richard Roovers is the Tax Country Leader for the Netherlands and member of the Executive Board.
Richard has a vast experience in advising large and middle clients. His Corporate Income Tax knowledge and experience was instrumental in building a large tax practice serving not for profit clients in the Netherlands.
He has specific knowledge and experience in the field of mergers and takeovers, due diligence studies, reorganizations, corporate relocations, restructuring and cooperative ventures. He is particularly involved with large family owned companies.
Richard Roovers, has been named member of the Dutch Executive Board and Tax Country Leader, succeeding Piet Hein Meeter who has recently been appointed CEO of the Dutch firm.
Richard has been a member of the Tax Management Team since 2008 and in 2009 became the Global Business Tax Services leader for the Netherlands. He was also responsible for the Dutch member firm finance portfolio. Prior to this he was the Tax leader in the Breda office.
Richard has been a member of the Opex council and was the leader of the deal review board. He was a founding member of the Mid Market Target Team in the Netherlands and will continue to work with clients. Richard has a vast experience in advising large and middle market clients. He is particularly involved with large, family owned companies.
