I love working with analytics and combining the fun of creative-cool-idea-intellectual-work with the direct application to the business of our clients to generate real value.
Currently I’m jointly leading the Deloitte Analytics initiative in the Netherlands. In this role we are building a cross-function analytics platform with standardized solutions, building awareness and helping to generate new ideas and support engagements with clients in the area of Analytic Insights.
I have a background of experience in the health care industry. In one of my first projects I was lucky enough to get involved in a nationwide reform of health care financing. My role was to help define the products of hospital care and mental health care for the whole country through use of analytics.
When completed all individual health care providers had to start registering detailed data about all activities regarding patients. This again gave us great opportunities to help individual hospitals get the most out of this new data. So I got involved in many projects where we applied data analytics to improve their patient care processes to reduce waiting times, increasing efficiency by lowering costs and reducing unnecessary work. This was all made possible by using newly available insights made available from the data.
I think Deloitte has a great international network of talented analytics experts who are all genuinely interested in and driven by adding value to our clients businesses.
