I really enjoy solving problems, continuously re-inventing the way we solve them, and seeing the impact of our approach. Every project is an opportunity to learn and challenge the status quo, and we can then follow through with implementation for our client.
My team is involved in projects where multivariate data analysis is needed. We cover a wide scope of applications including pricing analytics, macro-economic modelling, data mining and predictive modelling. All the consultants on the team hold advanced degrees in quantitative fields and are experts with tools such as SAS and SPSS. I joined in 2010 as the methodology leader and currently am the Lead Specialist of the Advanced Analytics team. In this role I’m responsible for the training curriculum, continuous learning, coordination, and project management.
I have experience within numerous industries: Banking, pharmaceutical, security, transportation, oil, chemical, telecom, construction and consumer business. Although all industries have unique characteristics, applications of analytics insights are universal.
The coolest project I worked on was an application of stochastic processes to optimize security screenings in large queue systems. I worked with an amazing team. We “invented” an approach, learned new tools and developed an increasingly complex model to account for staffing and physical constraints in the system.
What I appreciate the most at Deloitte is the freedom we have in terms of methodology and technology. We have access to world-wide resources and opportunities to gather groups of experts that few other companies have. Deloitte is also very well positioned to implement analytics recommendations.
When I joined Deloitte I never expected to have such a variety of problems to solve and to work with people as brilliant as my colleagues.
