What I love about my job is getting really deep into the data and the granularity of the mathematics and then converting that into a story that can be understood by people without specific analytics technical knowledge (like my grandmother and the bus driver) so they can truly understand what we’re delivering for our clients.
I’m responsible for customer analytics. I work with clients to help them extract their data and build insights around what their customers want and need so they can shape their strategy accordingly.
My ten years of experience prior to Deloitte were predominantly in the financial services industry. What I wanted to do, and the reason I moved to Deloitte, was to use the knowledge I had gained in converting data in a data-rich environment for customer strategy. That is exactly what I am doing now -- applying similar methods and techniques across a range of different industries.
Deloitte believes that data will be a foundation going forward across industries and has taken significant steps in building a sound business for the future.
One of the most important and challenging parts of any project is getting to the heart of client questions and translating the ‘geeky’ technical side of data analysis into an actionable strategy, helping clients understand how what we’re proposing will work to address their business issues and drive value for them.It’s what makes me get up in the morning.
