As a manager in analytics, I spend most of my time using the theoretical knowledge and technical expertise acquired during my Ph.D to develop sophisticated, working solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
I love that in my job I don't just apply tools, but I can and need to "apply" my brain and if I get stuck, there is always someone at Deloitte who can help me find the missing pieces to reach the solution.
I joined Deloitte Germany so I could work with experts from all fields on different and challenging projects giving me the chance to learn every day. I have a lot of experience in the pharmaceutical sector and with an established internet company. These industries have a strong demand for highly efficient solutions to turn huge amounts of complex data into actionable knowledge. This experience helped me to fit right in at Deloitte Analytics.
I got the opportunity to attend the first Deloitte Analytics Global Summit in the US which was very inspiring. Meeting and exchanging ideas with open minded practitioners from around the world – all passionate about what they do – was extremely interesting and motivating.
Deloitte is unique in the market for analytics, since we don’t create general purpose software or simply sell products. We work closely with our clients to develop analytical capabilities enabling them to unlock the potential hidden in their data and to allow business leaders to make fact-based decisions.
When I joined Deloitte Germany I never expected analytics to be so wide-spread – not only in every function, but across all departments and industries.
Even though analytics is in its infancy in terms of development, it is clear that it already plays an important role within Deloitte member firms. We are on the verge of a new era moving towards a fact-based culture supported by analytics, and it’s thrilling that I’m with Deloitte, which is always one step ahead.
