I am fortunate to have acquired wide experience in analytics with over 18 years in research, teaching, consulting and practical application development. Industry taught me the value of team-management, execution and delivery; research enabled me to master knowledge and push its boundaries; my consulting experience helped to keep it practical and relevant to business; while my academic experience tied these all together, and showed me the value of dreaming big.
I recently joined Deloitte Singapore for the opportunity to solve real-world business problems using analytics. As a director in the Deloitte Analytics Institute, Asia, I help execute an ambitious agenda that includes increasing Deloitte Analytics’ global prominence. I plan to achieve this goal by bringing cutting-edge research to life and thereby constantly differentiating our offerings. In addition, we will be creating and disseminating innovative R&D-based solutions, and publicizing insights arising from our research. I’m currently building a team of multi-disciplinary data scientists, engineers, trainers and business development staff to execute this vision. We will also be partnering with external organizations to help enhance mutual capabilities.

These empower us to bring immense value to clients. When I joined Deloitte I didn’t expect that I’d have a brilliant support infrastructure in-place helping with the development and marketing of the Deloitte Analytics Institute. This has considerably accelerated my execution plan.
My most memorable event with the organization was when I attended the Deloitte Analytics Global Leadership meeting. I was very happy to learn the team’s vision, plans, and initiatives, and I love that there’s a close synergy between my personal mission and that of Deloitte Analytics. The meeting also gave me an opportunity to share my vision, and seek the team’s advice. I’m glad to have already received their support and understanding.
The most pleasant surprise for me is that Deloitte’s leaders – from across all service lines – are aware of the power of analytics and are eager to explore more.
