Deloitte completes deployment of Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM)

Deloitte teams with Elizabeth Arden to deploy Oracle Fusion HCM in the Oracle Cloud

New York, NY, 2 October 2012— Elizabeth Arden, a global beauty products company with a range of prestigious fragrance, skincare and cosmetics brands, is live on Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) in the Oracle Cloud. Deloitte* firms in the United States and the United Kingdom managed the deployment of Oracle Fusion HCM at Elizabeth Arden.  This engagement strengthens Deloitte’s position as a leader in Oracle Fusion HCM, and reinforces its commitment to Oracle’s Fusion development efforts.

Elizabeth Arden was a member of Oracle’s Early Adopter Customer program and the company selected Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud Service because of the application’s flexibility, functionality, and its ability to enable significant HR transformation.  Oracle Cloud Application Services are also aligned with Elizabeth Arden’s corporate IT strategy.

Highlights of the go-live, including anticipated business benefits, include:

  • As part of the initial deployment, Elizabeth Arden implemented three Oracle Fusion HCM modules—global human resources, performance management, and compensation administration.  The business objectives that governed the initial deployment included: standardizing business process across the operating companies; implementing a common human resource management system; providing a platform to manage a global workforce and talent management processes; and improve access to human capital data and workforce analytics.
  •  Elizabeth Arden has initially deployed the suite of Oracle Fusion HCM modules to the United Kingdom and Switzerland.  Elizabeth Arden has plans to deploy the platform to the remaining countries in Europe and Asia Pac, and then finally in the United States.

“Oracle Fusion HCM is a new product, so the Elizabeth Arden team knew that we needed some help deploying the product,” said Hoy Heise, executive vice president and chief information officer, Elizabeth Arden.  “We decided to work with Deloitte because of its strong relationship with Oracle, the strength of Deloitte’s global HCM capabilities, and because our two teams are a good cultural fit.”

“Deloitte has been committed to the Oracle Fusion HCM development process from the very beginning,” said Gretchen Alarcon, vice president, Oracle HCM Strategy. “We are pleased with the role they have played in helping our customers achieve value with our next-generation Oracle Fusion HCM applications.”

Jason Geller, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP in the U.S., who serves as global and U.S. HR transformation leader, said, “The recent go-live at Elizabeth Arden demonstrates Deloitte’s ability to deliver successful deployments of Oracle Fusion HCM. We invested heavily in preparing globally for Oracle Fusion HCM applications and are confident that our broader global HR Transformation capabilities will heighten the value proposition of the new functionality and technology delivery options.”

Deloitte has actively participated in the Oracle Fusion HCM development program, providing guidance regarding product direction and participating in hands-on, development-led training.
