Independent analyst rates Deloitte a UK sustainable business consulting leader |

A new in-depth comparative evaluation of the sustainable business consulting service provider landscape by respected independent sustainability analyst, Verdantix, has rated Deloitte a UK market leader.
The study, Verdantix 2011 Green Quadrant: UK Sustainable Business Consulting Services, evaluates the relative capabilities of the UK’s top fourteen providers of sustainable business consulting services to UK companies. Capability areas evaluated by Verdantix include: corporate sustainability strategy; responsible supply chain; corporate growth strategies; reporting and compliance; commercial due diligence; mergers and acquisitions; change management; carbon markets and offsetting.
The factors that distinguish sustainable business consulting ‘leaders’ according to Verdantix include: management frameworks that apply a holistic perspective; sustainability change management engagements; depth and breadth across all sustainability service offerings; differentiation with a global practice group network; active engagement in shaping the sustainability market; long-term investments in internal sustainability programmes; and significant awareness of sustainability expertise with potential clients.
According to Rodolphe d’Arjuzon, Director of Verdantix said: “During the last four years, a combination of ramping energy costs, climate change policy, new market opportunities and competitive dynamics has encouraged FTSE 100 firms to invest in more ambitious corporate sustainability strategies.
