Deloitte member firm partners lead recognition in Euromoney’s Guide to World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers |
New York, 15 January, 2009 – For the fifth consecutive time, Euromoney’s 2009 Guide to the World's Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers again recognized Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) member firms as having the highest number of leading transfer pricing advisers. Eighty-three Deloitte member firm tax partners in 36 jurisdictions were included as leading transfer pricing advisers in the 2009 Guide.
“These awards recognize our organization’s top transfer pricing advisers who are well respected among clients and peers,” said Dan Lange, DTT Global Tax Leader. “We believe this recognition also reflects Deloitte member firms’ ongoing commitment to excellence in the area of transfer pricing. In June, we opened a new global transfer pricing center in India. The center offers consistency and uniformity in multi-jurisdiction projects aligned with local laws. Our organization’s strength in the area of transfer pricing is unparalleled.”
Deloitte member firms help clients understand, plan for, and deal with the complex and dynamic issues surrounding transfer pricing. Their comprehensive services and technology include improving tax efficiency and defense posture, resolution of global controversies, and strategic documentation.
“Top recognition in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers reinforces Deloitte member firms’ strong marketplace presence among their peers and clients,” said Jeff Neuenschwander, Managing Partner, Global and U.S. Transfer Pricing, Deloitte U.S. “While 83 member firm partners are named, this recognition is possible due to the extraordinary commitment of all of the Deloitte member firms’ transfer pricing practices. The strength of the practices, coupled with Deloitte member firms’ continuous commitment to quality, innovation in the delivery of services, and understanding the needs of clients, has allowed Deloitte member firms to differentiate themselves in this space.”
The Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers is published bi-annually by Legal Media Group, a unit of Euromoney Institutional Investor, and is available at www.expertguides.com. The process for selecting the leading transfer pricing tax advisers is extensive. Over 4,000 senior practitioners and in-house tax directors in over 60 jurisdictions are sent a questionnaire, requesting nominations for leading practitioners based on their work and reputation. The results are then analyzed and screened for firm, network, and alliance bias. The list of experts is then discussed and refined with advisers in legal centers worldwide.
