Quigley addresses Deloitte Global Forum in Rome
Protecting and creating value
Jim Quigley addresses attendees at
the Deloitte Global Forum in Rome.
Building trust and retaining talent are key components of delivering value, according to Deloitte CEO James H. Quigley, who spoke at the Deloitte Global Forum on June 8th in Rome.
The event, hosted for the first time in Europe, with former Prime Minister of Spain José María Aznar as guest speaker, brought together 120 business leaders to discuss critical business issues. It was Mr. Quigley's first public speech since becoming CEO earlier in the month.
In addressing the group, Mr. Quigley noted that building trust has become even more important as unprecedented scrutiny and increased regulation have brought about significant changes in corporate governance practices in Europe and elsewhere in the world. Equally challenging is the task of acquiring and retaining the most sought-after talent, which he said is a priority for Deloitte member firms.
