Asset protectionDefending against electronic espionage |
Every organization would agree that their intellectual property and information assets are an extremely valuable commodity. But that commodity is being targeted on multiple fronts, many you might not have considered. You probably know the usual suspects: hackers, disgruntled employees, competitors, contractors and, of course, your colleagues, who may not be careful enough when they travel, (e.g., hotels, bars, clubs, airports and other locations). But you may not have considered the lesser known suspects: pressure groups, foreign intelligence services, terrorists, activists, investigative journalists and organized crime groups.
It doesn’t really matter where it’s coming from. The truth is that espionage that targets technology and commercial trade secrets has never been a greater threat.
