In the early days of information security, companies were concerned about computer geeks making mischief from their basements. But early hackers have been replaced by organized crime, governments, and individuals who make computer fraud their full-time business.

In response to those threats, financial institutions are making identity and access management their number one priority, according to Deloitte’s 2010 security survey. Adel Melek discusses the findings of the 7th annual survey.

Highlights:

  • How has the security landscape changed over the years?
  • What are the top global information security issues for 2010?
  • Do most security breaches originate inside or outside a financial institution?
  • What are the most common types of breaches?
  • How confident are most financial institutions when it comes to entrusting their information security to third-party providers?
  • How do most financial institutions fare when it comes to implementing the whole range of technology solutions?
  • What are the biggest barriers to establishing a high-level of information security, and how can companies overcome those challenges?

Guest:

  •  Adel Melek, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Global Leader, Information & Technology Risk
