The Innovator’s ManifestoHarnessing the power of disruption |
Most people may think that innovation is a game of luck with no way to predict success. But it can be much more predictable than business leaders think.
Take the challenge of creating profitable growth. It’s a universal goal for managers, but how can it be created and sustained against entrenched competitors? And how can a company become a “disruptor,” achieving success at the expense of once-powerful incumbents?
One way is through Disruption theory – an innovation theory that explains how particular types of new products and services come to achieve success or even dominance. It’s about predicting what’s next and seeing if the theory is actually better than the alternative approaches.
Michael Raynor, a director with Deloitte Consulting LLP, tackled this topic head-on in his newest book, The Innovator’s Manifesto: Deliberate disruption for transformational growth. Contact us and explore these global Deloitte resources to learn more about using innovation to predict what’s next and achieve success.
