Focus: International Women's Day 2012

Empower. Invest. Accelerate.

If today’s global workforce is very diverse and increasingly female, why don’t many top organizational levels mirror this trend? How can companies around the world truly walk the diversity talk?

On 2 March, Deloitte’s Global Diversity team hosted the 4th annual International Women’s Day (IWD) webcast: Empower. Invest. Accelerate. Embedding diversity into the organizational culture to advance women.

The event featured distinguished business and government leaders from Asia, Europe, and the Americas discussing the value imperative of diversity and spotlighting the bold moves organizations can make to embed it into organizational cultures and support the advancement of women.

In the following collection of perspectives, Deloitte and its global network of member firms examine a range of topics, including embedding diversity into organizational cultures and the specific question of quotas for women on corporate boards.

Download a recording of the webcast or read the webcast transcript, and join the conversation across Deloitte's social media networks (#DeloitteIWD) in this salute to women leaders on International Women’s Day.
