Focus: International Women's Day 2011

International Women's Day (IWD) 2011 takes place 8 March and is a global day celebrating the economic, political, and social achievements of women past, present, and future. In honor of this event, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited’s Council for the Global Retention of Women (GROW) hosted its third annual GROW IWD webcast on 2 March.

A panel of business leaders from around the world came together to discuss how investing in and developing women as workers, leaders, and consumers can yield a significant benefit—the Gender Dividend. Panelists offered insights, perspectives, and lessons learned. Other stories on this page highlight achievements of women leaders and programs offered through the Deloitte network.

Watch a recording or download video (112 MB) of the 2 March webcast and join us in this salute to women leaders, especially the women of Deloitte, on International Women’s Day.
