Meet Kelly McDonald

Kelly McDonaldKelly McDonald is based in Calgary, Alberta and is a consulting manager within Deloitte Canada's technology practice. Over the past 13 years, he has developed a broad background in Information Technology strategy, project management and telecommunications through his past roles in the private sector at Norte and the public sector as the acting CIO of FedDev Ontario. Currently he works with clients in industries ranging from energy and resources, to financial services, the public sector, and telecom equipment helping them transform the way in which they deliver technology products and services.

A dynamic speaker on a variety of technology subjects, including communications convergence and technology trends, he previously served as Nortel's lead technical presenter in Ottawa for more than two years, delivering more than 150 presentations to customers, the public, and the media.

He brings a broad technology perspective to his engagements with experience in Enterprise Mobility, BYOD, ITIL, Unified Communications, networking, and VoIP (Enterprise and Carrier) .

Kelly combines a strong technology, business, and strategy background with a track record of developing telecommunications strategies and roadmaps for clients small and large. His experience in developing, supporting,  and marketing a broad range of telecommunications products gives him unique insights in both the promise and challenges of new technologies.

Kelly is CMC and PMP certified and holds dual MBAs from Cornell's S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management and the Queen's School of Business.
