An aging population and the redistricting of municipalities left local governments in Denmark with more responsibilities to deliver a host of complex social services to their citizens—from the elderly to children to the disabled. The ministry—which supports local governments and the development of the social sector— recognized that municipalities needed assistance to achieve their goals. The ministry came to Deloitte for help in creating a resource that provided local governments the tools to improve the delivery of social services and could easily adapt to individual municipality needs.
