Meet Tom Hogan |
Tom Hogan is DTTL global tax leader for the life sciences and health care (LSHC) industry. He also serves as LSHC tax leader for Deloitte United States. Tom has more than twenty-five years of experience specializing in the life sciences industry. He has worked with branded and generic drug manufacturers, biotechnology companies, and medical device companies on various tax consulting and compliance projects, including M&A transactions, global restructurings, repatriation planning, foreign tax credit utilization, accounting for income taxes, transfer pricing and indirect tax planning.
Tom has assisted clients in examinations performed by various global tax authorities, including the Internal Revenue service, U.S. state tax authorities and HMRC at the field and appeals levels, and has worked extensively with various government bodies to analyze, establish, or enhance R&D tax incentives and to analyze their effectiveness. He has also lobbied the U.S. Congress and the Treasury Department on behalf of clients in connection with research credit tax legislation and regulations.
Tom is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s of science, business administration with a concentration in accounting from Montclair State University. He is based in the Parsippany, New Jersey office.
