Kennedy names Deloitte a Vanguard IT Consulting Services provider and leader

New York, 14 April 2011 — Deloitte is pleased to announce today that it was named a Vanguard IT Consulting Provider and Leader in Kennedy’s IT Consulting Marketplace 2010-2013 research.

According to Kennedy, IT consulting (ITC) practices that are placed in the Kennedy Vanguard are assessed to have the greatest services depth and breadth. The report compared 27 providers of IT Strategy, IT Architecture and IT Governance, and Risk and Compliance services.

Key findings:

  • “Clients tend to develop long-term relationships and repeat engagements due to the quality of Deloitte’s consultants.”
  • “[Deloitte’s] business-led, technology-enabled approach yields solutions that are highly business-focused and highly customized to the client’s unique needs.”
  • “Leveraging its clear leadership position in management consulting, Deloitte is especially strong in IT strategy, particularly IT organization design.”
  • “Deloitte’s integrated approach to risk management and IT GRAC is a strength and point of differentiation."
  • “The firm delivers an integrated approach to Business Analytics, pulling capabilities from across the organization such as advanced analytics and modeling, information management, pricing and profitability, tax, FAS and ERS to deliver solutions to clients.”

“I believe that this recognition of Deloitte’s ITC strengths can be attributed to its experienced Technology Advisory practitioners, who bring to each project a collective wealth of industry knowledge; as well as to Deloitte’s robust global, cross-border delivery model,” says Peter Blatman, Leader, Global Technology Advisory Services, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL). “Deloitte looks forward to further investing in and growing its ITC capabilities in order to remain competitive and continue delivering high-quality, full-life-cycle services to its clients.”

The report also identified Deloitte’s key ITC strengths:

  • “Deloitte’s value-mapping process has demonstrated itself as valuable intellectual property in the marketplace. It identifies the connection between consulting work and creating shareholder value."
  • “Compared to the other Big Four, Deloitte has the edge in ITC and particularly in implementation services since it retained its IT consulting practice when the other three firms divested.”
