Forum of young global leaders
The Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL) is a community of more than 750 exceptional individuals, all younger than 40, who represent the future of leadership. The Young Global Leaders come from all regions of the world and represent business, government, civil society, arts and culture, academia, print media, and online/social media. Each year, the World Economic Forum selects 100-200 individuals from a variety of sectors, disciplines, and global locations to serve in the Forum. Deloitte professionals have been acknowledged as YGL members in current and past years.
YGL collaborates with the World Economic Forum to integrate young leaders into deep interaction with other stakeholders of global society. Active YGL members are involved in nearly all of the Forum’s meetings, research, and initiatives, representing the views and interests of the next generation of leaders.
The objectives of the YGL are to:
- Convene a diverse global community of peers by bringing together YGLs at summits, regional events, leadership development programs, and community-organized gatherings around the world.
- Catalyze the next generation of leaders through personal experiences that enable YGLs to build knowledge and engender a better understanding of global challenges and trends, as well as to further enhance their unique role as leaders within their organizations and the broader community.
- Positively impact the global agenda by engaging the YGL community in initiatives and task forces related to specific global challenges that they identify collectively.
