India Economic Summit 2010

Implementing India

The 26th India Economic Summit, a regional event of the World Economic Forum, will take place in New Delhi on 14-16 November.

This year’s summit marks a shift from agenda to action, with a focus on how domestic and international decision-makers from business, government, and civil society can implement national policies across rural and urban states in order to accelerate economic development, remove barriers to growth, and increase social inclusion.

Under the theme of “Implementing India,” the summit will focus on how inclusive social and economic progress can be delivered as well as serve as a model for other developing economies. The program is organized by four thematic pillars:

  • India’s implementation imperative
  • Security and sustainability imperative
  • Inclusive growth imperative
  • Innovation and competitiveness imperatives

Deloitte’s involvement with the India Economic Summit underscores its plans to invest more than US$500 million in emerging markets, including India.
