- Deloitte Bermuda volunteered for the Health & Activity Village (HAV), which is a key part of the World Cricket Classic event in Bermuda. The HAV is organized by the Get Fit Foundation (GEFF) promoting physical activity as a means of fighting obesity by providing an innovative and educational way of drawing attention to the problems of obesity. The HAV offers many giant inflatable activity stations, walking promotions, and experiential play areas, which are fun particularly for children.
- In Manchay, one of the poorest towns in Lima, Deloitte Peru employees worked to improve the learning environment at Mi Nuevo Peru Elementary and High School. Volunteers repaired wooden walls, tables, and chairs, and completed concrete floors to provide students suitable work spaces. Deloitte Peru donated books and educational material—tools to succeed.
- Each year, tens of thousands of people in the Deloitte member firms contribute their professional skills and financial resources to a variety of social causes in order to have a positive impact on their communities. Some of these efforts are described in the Worldwide Member Firms 2006 Review.
