Human Rights: At DTT Member Firms

  • Employer of Choice strategy: Around the world, DTT member firms have programs which help professionals maintain a healthy work-life balance, manage their careers and performance, develop new skills and knowledge, and secure healthy and safe working conditions. During 2005/2006, independent third parties have recognized Deloitte member firms on 26 occasions as being  Employers of Choice.
  • Internal awareness building around sustainable development: In 2006, Deloitte will launch an internal e-learning course to introduce member firm client service professionals to promote understanding of the impacts of business on society and the global social, economic and environmental issues that impact business strategy.

The  Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a national gay and lesbian organization, recently included the Deloitte U.S. Firms among the 138 major U.S. companies earning a top ranking of 100 percent in their fifth annual  Corporate Equality Index.

The DTT Global Security Office has been tracking events related to  Avian Influenza since December 2004. Dr. Michael Osterholm, a leading expert on infectious diseases, has been retained by DTT to provide current assessments of the virus’ progression and medical guidance on how the organization should respond.
