David is a Partner in Corporate Tax and has over 18 years experience including 14 with Deloitte. He advises a number of Australian listed and large private companies and subsidiaries of foreign multinationals.
Issues facing such companies that David has advised on include; optimal structuring of operations in Australia, debt/equity financing of companies, restructuring to simplify or improve the efficiency of the legal structure of a group, including minimising capital gains tax and stamp duty obligations and compliance with Australian Tax obligations and reporting requirements. David has also operated successfully in foreign tax jurisdictions during separate secondments in Central Europe and Indonesia.
David is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Taxation Institute of Australia.
