The “EPoC - European Powers of Construction” profiles the major listed European construction groups and examines their market position and performance in terms of revenue, market capitalisation, internationalisation,diversification, debt and other financial ratios.
The last few years have been difficult for the construction sector as a consequence of the current economic and financial conditions in Europe. A number of European countries are implementing fiscal consolidation programs in order to reduce budget deficits. As a result investments in infrastructure are contracting. Against this backdrop, European construction groups are being forced to redouble their efforts and to differentiate in order to generate new business opportunities in new market segments and territories.
