Firm History

The Ghanaian firm of Deloitte has a long history in the country, dating back to when it was originally formed by Mr. James Donald Barnes CA Scotland on 1st January 1947, under the name and style of J. D. Barnes & Co. Chartered Accountants. Through more than 60 years of history, Deloitte’s practice in Ghana has set the bar for professional services in the marketplace whether it be audit, tax, consulting or financial advisory. Today, the Ghanaian firm is still setting the Standard of Excellence in the industry under the leadership of the Country Managing Partner Nana Sackey, who is supported by 2 Partners and 85 staff.
