We are pleased to invite you to the next Midlands Deloitte CIO event to be held at the Birmingham office of Deloitte on Wednesday 24 April 2013.  The CIO initiative provides a relaxed interactive networking forum addressing topics that matter most to Senior IT Executives and guests who have joined us in the past have enjoyed participating in discussions on topical issues with Deloitte speakers and peers from other organisations.

This latest CIO event will focus on the Deloitte “TMT Predictions 2013” annual report which presents Deloitte’s view of key developments that are likely to have significant impacts for companies in the technology, media and telecommunications industries. As Technology Predictions is a subject also relevant to a wider audience, we are extending the invitation for the April forum to Finance and Managing Directors, in particular those at organisations within the TMT industry.

Neil Jones and David George will be your hosts and will be joined by guest speaker Paul Lee, Global Director Deloitte Research, Technology, Media and Telecommunications and lead author of TMT Predictions, who will provide his experienced perspective to lead a discussion around key themes and emerging issues that will impact technology in the coming year.

Paul Lee is responsible for technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) research at Deloitte.  In this role Paul has authored over 70 TMT reports including Deloitte’s annual Predictions series. In 2011 Predictions was launched in 60 countries and generated over 3,000 press hits. Predictions covers a wide spectrum of industry trends, from linear television’s longevity to green cement and social network advertising. Paul has published over 30 columns in the Financial Times, specialising in analysis of current trends in the TMT sector from a numerical perspective.  He has also developed Deloitte’s Digital Index which measures adoption of digital products and services on a quarterly basis and spearheaded Deloitte’s research into the convergence of the TMT sectors. Paul has written five books, including Convergence Conversations and Digital Dilemmas. Prior to working at Deloitte Research, Paul was Director at Gartner Consulting, leading work in the communications sector.

If you would like to attend or are unable to attend but would like further information please email with your details

We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an interesting and informative forum and look forward to engaging with you in a lively debate on these key issues.
