Our Stay Tuned In programme is designed to keep you fully informed about changes to corporate reporting requirements and other topical developments.

Andy Simmonds, a partner in our National Accounting and Audit team in London will lead the presentation and provide practical insights into various topical subjects.

Jeremy Towler is a senior manager in our Total Reward and Benefits practice. Jeremy has been working on the Employers' Duties for the past five years with both the government and a wide range of employers.

This session will cover all the recent developments in financial reporting including:

  • The future of UK GAAP - as a member of the UK Accounting Council (formerly the ASB), Andy will provide an insight into the recent developments and the impending roll out of the new UK regime including what is available for 2012 year-ends.
  • Corporate reporting developments - including the new regime for dispensing with subsidiary auditors, and the latest position on government reforms.
  • An update on IASB's activities - as a member of the EFRAG TEG, which advises the EU on accounting matters, Andy will provide his perspective on the current state of play, and likely developments over the next few years.
  • Automatic enrollment - we are currently helping many employers with early Staging Dates under the Employers' Duties. Based on our experiences in working with them, we will discuss some of the practical issues that your organisation may not have considered but will need to address ahead of your staging date.
