Employment Tax

Deloitte’s national team of employment tax specialists can advise employers on the design, delivery and taxation of employee reward. We provide advice on remuneration planning including cost reduction initiatives and flexible benefits, through to innovative and complex pay and benefit structures. We support clients on transactions including structuring and due-diligence, and with changes arising from internal reorganisations and new tax legislation (e.g. real time information (RTI), pensions auto-enrolment and disguised remuneration). We offer a robust compliance service including supporting the modernisation and review of internal controls and processes through to liaison with HMRC, SAO reporting and assisting with HMRC interventions and negotiations. We also provide outsourced services such as payroll, Form P11D, PSA and Form 42 completion and submission.

UK businesses are currently in an environment of rising employment costs due to increase in income tax and National Insurance rates. Employment tax and related costs can be some of the most material costs to an organisation and businesses are looking at more tax efficient reward structures as well as how they can create efficiencies in existing internal processes.
