What we do
Our team of Government & Infrastructure (G&I) professionals advise on issues of procurement, management, financing and governance of public sector agencies and infrastructure. This includes advice on creating and realising value from public assets (such as real estate and government investments). In addition, the G&I finance raising team advises on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and project financing for infrastructure, property and power projects – providing advice to both the public sector and to private sector consortia bidding for public sector projects. G&I lead our Corporate Finance Public Sector advisory capability.
Through its sector-focused structure, G&I provide in-depth knowledge of the following industry sectors within the UK and internationally:
- Central Government and Defence;
- Transport;
- Accommodation and Education;
- Health; and
- Waste.

Our fully integrated services include:
- Commercial and financial structuring of projects;
- Running competitive financing processes;
- Strategic advice to central Government bodies;
- Development of policy and governance;
- Contract negotiations (including risk transfer, payment mechanism, claw backs);
- Advice to public sector on PPP procurement (including deal concept & commercial marketing, bid evaluation); and
- Advice to the private sector on bidding for Government contracts (including bid strategy, structuring of project Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and financial modelling).
In addition, G&I’s international team works with other member firms in central and southern Europe and Canada to develop PPP/PFI opportunities jointly across all sectors.
